Data blog: How Scotland's local authorities compare on unemployment

New figures from the Office of National Statistics have revealed that Edinburgh's 18-24 year olds are facing high unemployment levels.

But how do the unemployment figures compare across the rest of Scotland?

The total number of claimants of Jobseeker's Allowance are mapped for each local authority below, with higher numbers shaded a darker colour.

Clicking on each area also brings up the change in claimants from last year and the percentage unemployed."
